Tamiya brings back a true endurance racing legend with the re-release of the Nissan R91CP 1:10 RC Assembly Kit. Originally launched in 1992, this iconic Group C machine is recreated in impressive detail, celebrating the car that secured a historic victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona with Japanese drivers Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki, and Masahiro Hasemi—the first overall Daytona win for a Japanese car manufacturer.

Powered in full-scale form by a fearsome 3.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the Nissan R91CP featured advanced aerodynamics, a low-profile body, and incredible straight-line speed, making it one of the standout endurance racers of the early 1990s.

This Tamiya re-issue combines authentic body styling with a responsive Direct-Drive 2WD chassis, offering both collectors and RC enthusiasts a rewarding build and exciting driving experience.

Direct-Drive 2WD Chassis

The chassis is based around a durable ABS plastic bathtub frame with front and rear space frames plus FRP plates for added rigidity. Independent front suspension and a rear 3-point setup with FRP T-bar and CVA oil damper provide smooth and responsive handling.

Adjustable ground clearance allows setup tuning depending on the running surface:

• Front: 2 settings
• Rear: 3 settings
